Director
The Manatee Strings Orchestra & Music Festival will be directed by Ms. Lind for the 3rd summer. Ms. Lind has degrees from Furman University and Florida State University. She is
Concertmaster of the Anna Maria Island Chorus & Orchestra and has
been establishing a studio in the Bradenton Sarasota area since 2003. Ms. Lind is currently a strings teacher at the Bradenton Christian School, and a private music teacher in Sarasota, Bradenton, and Palmetto. A violinist in many orchestras, a teacher, and pianist, and guitarist, Ms. Lind has a broad knowledge of music and teaching.
Cellist and Violinist
Karolyn was a member of The Florida West Coast Symphony Youth Orchestra where she studied under Maria Rocap. Since that time, Karolyn has played with
The Venice Symphony, The Charlotte Symphony and as an extra with The Florida West Coast Symphony. Karolyn attended
Manatee Community College and
The University of South Florida where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree.
She has performed in musicals in Manatee, Sarasota and Pineallas Counties. Karolyn is
a resident of Bradenton and has played with The Anna Maria Orchestra since its conception in 1993, where she is currently The Principal Cellist.
